Como Pedro por su casa

Meaning: As Peter at his home

When to use: We use this saying to refer to a person who moves comfortably by a space that does not belong to him. It is also used with a pejorative character to criticize a person’s haughty attitude.

Where is coming from: Some authors believe that the saying comes from another much older: “Enter as Pedro for Huesca.” This alludes to Pedro I of Aragón, who conquered Huesca without hardly resistance after winning the battle of Alcoraz, in 1096.
